"We use the BLS STAT series with our juvenile population here at Northwest Louisiana Juvenile Detention Center. These students remain at our center for an indefinite period while awaiting sentencing. We therefore need software that permits quick placement and is correlated to the CAT and our Louisiana exit exam (LEAP). Since they use the BLS STAT series in all five parish school systems that place juveniles at our center, the transition back to public schools and GED programs instead of incarceration is easier. Students are not wasting time while at our facility."
