| What Our Customers Say ...
"Thank you for allowing my students at Gander
Hill Prison to use the BLS software system as a pilot program. The individual students and
the GED program itself are benefitting.
Each of my students receives the individualized
attention he needs. This is so important for those whose low skill level prevents them
from working effectively on their own; on the other hand, some advanced students get bored
with other traditional lesson delivery systems. Certain inmates cannot sustain one-to-one
tutoring with me due to poor interpersonal skills. ESL students thrive on step-by-step
progression. I have assigned students with just such a variety of learning needs and
styles to the BLS program and in each case, I have seen their interest, motivation,
attendance and success soar!
I foresee the time spent in our GED program will be
shortened for BLS students. The diagnostic test and prescriptive lesson plan is so
accurate that no extraneous learning materials slow them down. Consequently, they may move
through the program faster, which is extremely motivating and encouraging. Our GED program
will benefit since more students could be enrolled and served if current students
shortened their completion time.
BLS is very easy to use. Students work their way
through the entire program with only minimal initial instructions, freeing me for the many
other demands on my attention. This is unlike my experience with other education software,
which requires my constant presence and prompting. I estimate that several BLS stations
could dramatically increase the number of students I am able to serve due to students'
independence from me.
Finally, the support you've provided is great! When
you told me any question I may have would be answered with a simple phone call to your
office, I was skeptical. However, whenever I have had occasion to discuss various points
of the program, I have always been received by a courteous office staff and a quick,
precise answer.
Our experience with BLS is turning out to be as
productive as you promised."
