Screens are simple and functional, keeping the student focused on the skills being taught. Graphics have been carefully chosen to supplement curriculum content - not replace it. Every lesson includes on-line help, on-line score reporting which allows students to track their own progress, and a bookmark feature which allows students to exit and resume a lesson at the same point.

The Basic Skills Series includes three sections: Reading, Grammar, and Math. Each section includes a progression of levels. Levels are further organized into programs, lessons, and instructional objectives.

The RecordKeeper makes student progress reports a snap to display on screen, print, or save to a file. For example, the comprehensive report shows raw score, percentage score, number of times begun and completed, completion status, and time-on-task for each objective and mastery test in a lesson. Summary reports are also included.
